President Erdogan to visit UAE and Egypt
Ankara, 12 February, 2024 (TDF): Turkish President Erdogan is scheduled to embark on a diplomatic visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Egypt from February 12 to February 14, as announced by Türkiye’s Communications Directorate.
During his visit to the UAE, President Erdogan will participate in the World Government Summit in Dubai, where he will deliver a keynote address.
This summit serves as a significant platform for global leaders, including heads of state and government officials, to discuss pertinent issues facing the international community.
President Erdogan is anticipated to engage in bilateral discussions with leaders from participating countries, notably UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation and collaboration.

Subsequently, President Erdogan will journey to Egypt to discuss measures aimed at fostering stronger ties between Türkiye and Egypt, with a particular focus on revitalizing key bilateral cooperation mechanisms.
The agenda for these meetings includes an exchange of perspectives on prevailing global and regional challenges, with specific attention given to recent developments, such as the Israeli attacks on Gaza and other occupied Palestinian territories.
Furthermore, Türkiye extends heartfelt condolences to the UAE, Somalia, and Bahrain following a tragic terrorist attack at a military training camp in Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry expresses deep sorrow over the loss of military personnel who dedicated themselves to bolstering Somalia’s security.
The attack, which claimed the lives of four Emirati troops and a Bahraini military officer, underscores the ongoing threat posed by extremist groups in the region, including Al Shabab and Daesh.
As President Erdogan embarks on these diplomatic engagements, Türkiye reaffirms its commitment to fostering stability and cooperation within the region and beyond.
